Instructions: To view a chapter of this video click on an appropriate link for your computer and Internet connection. There are three different video formats that you can choose from:
QuickTime: The default player for the Macintosh and that is available as a free download for PC users. You can get download QuickTime here: QuickTime. For help with QuickTime, go to Apple's Support, choose QuickTime from the product drop-down menu
Windows Media: The default player for Windows, you may need to download the latest version of it here: Windows Media Player. For help with Windows Media Player try the Windows Media Player FAQ. We do not recommend this format for Macintosh users.
RealPlayer: Another free cross platform player, which can be downloaded here: RealPlayer. Help can be found at Real's Customer Support.
Note: RealPlayer has right-click options that allow you to play the video in an external viewer so that you can increase the size of the video.
To play the videos you may need to update your player to the latest version of the software for the format you are trying to play.
Of the three compression settings, the lowest qualities are the 40k files for people connecting to the Internet with a modem, for middle-of-the-road quality select any of the 100k options, and for the best quality (for broadband users) click on the 300k links.
We strongly suggest, even if you're connected via modem, that you select the 100k or 300k options. The videos will take longer to load, but the quality improvement is dramatic. For best quality consider downloading the Zip files. These will play in the player of choice and allow you to increase the picture sizes to your liking within the limits of your computer.
With the streaming options it is possible for the video to start and stop. Once the video is fully loaded (indicated by a percentage or bar across the controller of the video) you can play the videos smoothly with no halts.
